I'm Linda Robbins — coach and creator of Coming Home To Self
For many years, I believed that getting older meant becoming less visible, less relevant and less free to choose who I wanted to be.
Like many women, I had absorbed the idea that life should follow a certain order. I was married with children and believed I had reached my "happily ever after." Instead, my marriage became one of the most difficult—and most important—lessons of my life.
When it ended, I promised myself I would never allow anyone to hurt me in that way again. I shut down emotionally, kept people at a distance and became disconnected from my own feelings. I believed love hurt, so I stopped giving it a real chance.
For years, I lived behind that protection. I continued fulfilling my responsibilities and carrying the labels of mother, partner, carer and employee—but somewhere beneath those roles, I had lost sight of myself.
In 2018, I began making changes. Not because I wanted to become someone new, but because I was ready to remember who I already was.
Little by little, I began paying attention to myself again—recognising my patterns, listening to needs I had stopped noticing and letting back in the parts of myself I had pushed aside.
Coming Home To Self grew from that lived experience. I am still living this work, and I do not stand above other women as someone who has arrived or has every answer. I walk alongside women, creating space for them to pause, hear their own voice and reconnect with the woman beneath the labels.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: you don't need to become someone new. You need the space to reconnect with who you already are.
No scripts. No fixing. No version of you that I am trying to create.
Because the answers need to be yours.
